Drone show for cities and festivals

New Year, city days, festivals. We have flown for Iași, Târgoviște, Ploiești, Baia Mare, Hunedoara, Focșani, Galați and Buzău, and at festivals including UNTOLD, Massif and Neversea.

More and more city halls are replacing New Year fireworks with a drone show. The reasons repeat: it does not frighten pets, it leaves no debris in the parks, it can be done in the city centre without a fire safety perimeter, and it can be repeated every year with new content.

At festivals, the show works as a closing moment. It is the only production element visible from the entire site — including from outside the fence.

Why it works for a city

A real alternative to fireworks

No fire, no smoke, none of the noise that frightens animals. It is the argument city halls come to us with most often.

Local content, not generic

The city coat of arms, a landmark building, an anniversary year — the show can say something about the place it is flown in.

Visible across the city

At 100–150 metres, the show is visible well beyond the central square, with no need for additional screens.

Documentation for public procurement

We are used to the requirements of public tenders and prepare the technical documentation they call for.

How many drones a public event needs

At public events the viewing distance is far greater than at a private one, so the show has to be larger:

100–150 drones

A short show for a small town, or a single moment inside a longer programme.

200–300 drones

The usual configuration for city days or for New Year in a larger municipality.

400+ drones

Large festivals and closing moments, where the show is announced as an attraction in its own right.

What drives the cost of a public show

Public events carry costs that do not arise at a private one:

  • The number of drones, matched to the area the show has to be visible from.
  • Flight clearances and coordination with the authorities, which are more complex inside a city.
  • The safety zone and securing it, when the audience is large.
  • Custom content — coat of arms, landmark buildings, anniversary messages.
  • Scheduling: New Year is the most requested date of the year and is booked months ahead.
  • Rehearsal and on-site testing, which are mandatory for large shows.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a drone show for a city cost?

The cost depends on the number of drones, the complexity of clearances inside the city and the custom content. Send us the city, the date and the site you have in mind and we come back with an estimate per configuration.

Can you take part in a public procurement procedure?

Yes. We prepare the technical documentation and the offer in the format the procedure requires. Tell us the deadlines and which documents are needed.

Who handles the flight clearances?

We do. Obtaining flight authorisation is part of the service, but we need the exact site early, because inside a city the process takes longer.

Can it replace fireworks completely?

Yes, and that is exactly why most city halls come to us. The two can also be combined: a drone show followed by a short pyrotechnic moment, where local rules allow it.

How early should New Year be booked?

As early as possible. 31 December is the highest-demand date of the year and the large configurations are allocated months in advance.

What happens if the weather does not allow the flight?

The weather limits and the fallback are set in the contract. At public events we usually fix a second flight window the same evening.
