New Year’s Eve in Suceava. The show was flown over the city centre as the year turned, for an audience that had come out into the cold specifically to watch the sky — a different crowd from a festival one, and so a different programme.

New Year in Bucharest, flown over Ior Park for the crowd gathered in and around it. A park gives a drone show what a city square rarely can — clear sky, open sightlines and a dark backdrop — so the figures could be held larger and lower than usual.
